Julio Lemos is a Brazilian guitar player, music researcher and teacher, doing part of his PhD at San Francisco State University. He presents his new show of samba-jazz based on his latest recording, Brasil Acustíco, of his original compositions for acoustic 7 string guitar. Lemos performs a mix of Brazilian genres such as: Samba, Bossa-Nova, Waltz, Classical Brazilian music, Choro and Frevo, with jazz improvisations. Accompanying him in this show will be Jeff Busch on percussion and Brazilian vocalist Adriana Giordano on vocals.
Julio is a music professor at the Federal University of Goias, UFG holds graduation and master in guitar from UFG. Now studies the doctor degree at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, guided by Marcia Taborda and at San Francisco State University with Dr. John Calloway. Julio Lemos also performed and did workshops at Brazil and abroad, featuring concerts at South América, Europe, United States and China. He has been a titular judge of the official São Paulo carnival parade since 2017, in the category Samba Enredo.
